Beggars on Ramadhan Month

Ramadan is a month full of blessings which many people perform a variety of ways to get the reward as much as possible. For example, such as charity and help others. It was also felt by the street beggar. For them the coming month of Ramadan is a blessing to be able to get more income. Lately, an increasing number of beggars during Ramadan month are higher. An action occurs because there is reason. Increasing number of beggars also occurs due to several things:

Economic factors become a very influential factor in the increase of beggars. The beggar is also known as marginal society in our country. Of course, as a marginal society, they need to do more effort to earn enough income to fulfill daily needs. Moreover with an increase in the price of basic commodities before Lebaran, making these beggars use the month of Ramadhan as a field to get the highest benefit. Parts of them are not able to do other work in addition to begging and some others are seasonal beggars. Seasonal beggars are beggars who have just kind of certain moments, like during the month of Ramadhan. These seasonal beggars that be problems for local governments because of their high numbers and spread in various regions. This can also be called a beggar's network because the system is organized.

In terms of social factors, the beggars also rely on charity and attitude to help others by some citizens of Indonesia. Since the month of Ramadan, everyone is racing to do good deeds such as orphan care, helping the poor, and including also give charity. So, do not be surprised if at the time of Ramadhan the number of beggars are increase because they can earn more than usual.

Due to the increasing number of beggars during Ramadhan, there are a few tips that can run when dealing with beggars. For example, give them alms of food or beverages. Based on the research team of journalists, the majority of seasonal beggars will be cursed when given food. They feel happier if given the money because basically they're looking for more revenue in the month of Ramadhan. Then do not easily fooled on the wound that deliberately. If you want charity, especially in the month of Ramadan, would be better if you distribute your handouts via official charities that are already available in each region. Not all beggars just pretending or lazy to find another job, so they have to beg. Our role as a community is assisting in their welfare. So we as fellow citizens of Indonesia have been duly assist in helping these marginalized communities.
